As I understand it:

The boost credit is a measure for adding additional credits to a user with high throughput and keep him/her going as a gesture of kindness for being a loyal subscriber.

And as your loyalty level rises so does your credit boost to a certain max limit, but only if you need it on that month.

The transparancy angle is refreshing. Every other AI coding tool buries the real costs under vague credits or rate limits that kick in at the worst times. Your point about Cursor operating at negative gross margin and then throttling users to compensate is spot on, I've hit those limits mid-sprint and its incredibly frustating. The momentum subscription model where your dollars never expire makes way more sense than the usual "use it or lose it" approach.
