Kilo Weekly Product Roundup | March 18, 2026
Welcome back to the weekly product roundup! This week brings a revamped Marketplace with MCP and Modes tabs, undo/redo with per-message revert, a new sub-agent viewer for Orchestrator mode, a 6x memory reduction from the tsgo migration, and KiloClaw picks up Google and GitHub account connections.
VS Code Extension
Marketplace: MCP Servers & Modes Tabs
The Marketplace now has dedicated tabs for MCP Servers and Modes alongside the existing Skills tab. Browse, discover, and install MCP servers and custom modes directly from the extension without leaving your editor.
Undo/Redo with Per-Message Revert
You can now undo and redo changes directly from the UI. A new per-message revert button lets you roll back individual agent actions without nuking everything that came after. Useful when the agent nails 4 out of 5 steps and you just want to fix the one it got wrong.
Collapsible Question Dock
When the agent asks a question, it now appears in a compact, collapsible dock at the bottom of the chat. Keyboard navigation is fully supported, and the dock stays out of your way when you dismiss it.
Sub-Agent Viewer Panel
A new panel lets you inspect sub-agent activity when using Orchestrator mode. See what each sub-agent is doing, its status, and its output without switching context.
Fork Session in Agent Manager
Right-click any Agent Manager tab to fork a session. This creates a new branch of the conversation so you can explore different approaches without losing your original thread.
Skills Management
Discovered skills now appear in Agent Behavior settings, and you can remove both discovered and custom skills directly from the settings panel.
6x Memory Reduction
The extension now uses tsgo for type checking, cutting memory usage by roughly 6x. If you’ve been bumping up against memory limits on large projects, this one’s for you.
Pasted Image Preview
Images pasted into the chat input now show a preview thumbnail, so you can confirm you’re attaching the right screenshot before sending.
Kilo Gateway
Default Model: Kilo Auto Balanced
The default model for Kilo Gateway is now kilo-auto/balanced. This applies to new users and anyone who hasn’t manually set a model preference. Auto Balanced routes to the best available model for your prompt, optimizing for quality and cost.
New Models
NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super (free for a limited time)
Reasoning effort support for Inception Mercury-2
Reasoning toggle for Grok 4 models
Kilo Auto Balanced model added
KiloClaw
Google & GitHub Account Connections
Connect your Google account for Gmail, Calendar, and Docs access. Add a GitHub machine user so your bot can clone repos, push commits, and open PRs, all from within your KiloClaw instance.
Persistent Package Installs
New instances now redirect pip, uv, and npm global installs to the persistent volume. Packages installed via pip install, uv, or npm install -g survive restarts. uv is also pre-installed in the base image. (Applies to newly provisioned instances.)
Faster Startup
Reduced OpenClaw startup overhead by disabling unnecessary CLI self-respawn, enabled Node compile cache for faster repeated CLI runs, and tightened state directory permissions.
OpenClaw Updates
Updated to OpenClaw 2026.3.13 with summarize CLI 0.12.0 and gogcli 0.12.0.
CLI

This release includes syncs from OpenCode v1.2.17 through v1.2.20, bringing:
