The "Glass Slipper" cohort retention data is wild. That 40% retention for Claude Sonnet 4's launch cohort vs 10-20% typical retention shows how much early adopters value getting in when a model actually matches thier workflow. We saw something similar with our team when switching between models; the ones who adopted a specific model early for their particular use case stuck with it way longer than people who tried it later. The economic inertia point makes sense too, once devs intergrate a model into their daily flow, switching becomes way more costly than just riding out minor issues.
